WHAT IS GST REGISTRATION?

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is an indirect tax that was implemented in India on July 1, 2017. It replaced a number of cascading taxes imposed by the national and state governments. Goods and services are taxed at the following rates: 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, and 28% under the GST. If your yearly turnover or sales exceed Rs. 20 lakh, you must pay GST.

GST stands for Goods and Services Tax, and it encompasses all taxes, including sales tax, service tax, excise duty, and others. If your yearly sales total more than Rs. 20 lakh, you must register for GST.

Regardless of sales, anybody supplying goods or services to another state must register for GST. Even online service providers that serve consumers in another state would be required to register for GST right now.
